BirminghamBirmingham Philanthropy Network in partnership with Culture Central

In Birmingham FPAC is working with Culture Central – a convening and membership focused advocacy organisation for the arts and cultural sector in the West Midlands.

Our work in Birmingham is centred on providing capacity to Culture Central to enhance their network into the commercial sector. This activity will locate new philanthropists for the arts, bringing them together with existing philanthropists to learn from and work with them, Culture Central is keen to ensure that philanthropic giving is a core part of the grassroots cultural sector in the West Midlands, not just those with well-established fundraising functions and FPAC is focusing its capacity building and training activity towards these organisations. Through accessing a national match-funding campaign, we expect to be able to grow any philanthropic gifts given in the West Midlands area three-fold. A key objective is to develop a funding mechanism for the area, that draws in existing available finance and distributes and builds on it for the benefit of arts organisations in the Birmingham and the West Midlands region.
