Continuo Foundation celebrates supporting 51 period instrument ensembles with £350,000 in grants

January 2022

The Continuo Foundation was established by philanthropist and arts supporter Tina Vadaneaux in October 2020 with the aim of supporting period instrument ensembles. Ensembles were invited to apply for grants for projects creating work for musicians whose careers were at great risk due to COVID-19 (as almost all musicians working in this sector are freelance). Since then, the Foundation has supported 51 ensembles  undertaking 71 projects in 71 different locations with over £350,000 in support.

Read the Foundation’s latest Grantee update which gives details of the projects they’ve supported as well as significant donations received which will enable the work of the Foundation to continue and grow.
